Company Background

Fibretronic Sales (Pty) Ltd was established in 1999 as part of the NCT Fibrenet Holdings group. In 2002 Fibretronic Sales (Pty) Ltd broke away from the holding group and a private entity was formed. As the company was formed in Port Elizabeth, the Directors have decided to keep Port Elizabeth as its Head Office even though branches have subsequently been opened in larger cities namely Cape Town, Bloemfontein, Durban and Johannesburg. This has been done with the intention of enriching one of the poorest and most impoverished regions, the Eastern Cape.

Proud BEE Company

Fibretronic Sales (Pty) Ltd is an extremely proud BEE company. Mrs Lulama Banzi is one of two directors and major shareholder with 51% shareholding. She has a strong Financial Accounting, Purchasing and Telecommunications Background. Mr Colin Trollope is a director who has vast experience in IT and Telecommunications. The company has a PDI ratio of 70%.

Procurement

60% of our commodities are purchased from BEE companies and at least 50% are locally purchased commodities. This is part of our strategy to empower and enrich the local previously disadvantaged community of the Eastern Cape.

Fibretronic Sales has focus in the IT and Telecommunications fields and strive to provide our clients with the latest technologies available. In the past 4 years, Fibretronic Sales are suppliers of the Prysmian Fibre Optic range. This range of products includes conventional cable, blown fibre and blown mini cables. Fibretronic Sales are supported by and import the Prysmian range of products, which include conventional fibre, blown fibre, equipment and accessories. Our suppliers are the leading blown fibre specialist company in the SA market. The secret to their success is the quality of products used, the technical support offered, design capabilities and installation support. We offer a complete range of fibre optic products including OPGW, conventional, blown mini cables and Sirocco Blown fibre. This allows us to offer a complete solution from the Central Office to the home. We present high quality training programs to installers and contractors. This ensures that quality and integrity of the network is ensured. Fibretronic Sales have been the sole consultant for the design of the telco network for Coega Industrial Development Zone in the Eastern Cape, which involved blown mini cable and Sirocco blown fibre for the last mile.
